Music of Russia includes rich heritage of Russian nations and combines the work of Russian and Soviet composers of 18-20 centuries BC, Russian Folk music, Russian romance, Soviet and post Soviet popular music, Russian Rock and bardic music.

    The beginnig of the 20th century introdced such stars as Alexander Vertinsky and Leonid Utesov. Utesov's songs were especially popular by 1st Soviet musical comedy film "Vesyoliye Rebyata" and immediately falen in love with the all Sovite people. He was called the legend of Soviet stage.

    Popular singer of Soviet period were Muslim Magomaev, Leo Leshchenko, Iosiph Kobzon, Alla Pugacheva, Valeriy Leontiev. Some fo then are still on Russian pop stage.

    The bard genre was represented by such artists as Bulat Okudzhava, Alexander Galich and Vladimir Vysotskiy, and later Alexander Rosenbaum all wrote their own songs, and the recordings were distributed underground. They represented separate subclulture and performed authiords songs mainly. However their names were very popular and Vysotskiy has become an icon for many Russian people of those time and now.
